Travel information
Freiberg is located in Saxony in the eastern part of Germany. The nearest aiport is Dresden (DRS). You can fly to Dresden via German airports Frankfurt (FRA) and Munich (MUC) or Austrian airport Vienna (VIE).
There are flight connections from Dresden to the following airports: Frankfurt-Main, München - Franz Josef Strauß, Düsseldorf, Leipzig-Halle, Köln-Bonn and others.

Excursion
On Wednesday afternoon 2 different excursions are planned. You can either visit Terra Mineralia which is a huge exibition of minerals or take a guided tour through a Museum mine.
If you plan to stay a little bit longer in Saxony you should visit the historical center of Dresden with its famous exhibitions such as picture galleries Alte Meister, Neue Meister, art collection Grünes Gewölbe and Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady). Trains from Freiberg run regulary to Dresden.
