This is the fourth of a series of annual two-day workshops on the numerical treatment of stochastic partial differential equations held previously in Manchester (2007), Zürich (2008) and Edinburgh (2009). The workshop addresses researchers from numerical analysis and stochastics as well as applications in science and engineering.
The workshop is hosted by the Institute of Numerical Analysis and Optimization, TU Bergakademie Freiberg and will take place on the university campus.
Freiberg is a small town in eastern Germany located approximately between the cities of Dresden and Chemnitz. The closest airport is in Dresden, from where the train connection takes approximately 45 minutes. Alternate airports are Berlin and Leipzig/Halle. More travel information can be found here.
There is no registration fee. Please register by August 1, 2010 using the online registration form. Note that we can only accommodate up to 40 participants. A limited number of contributed talks will be accepted. If you would like to give a talk, please contact ernst@math.tu-freiberg.de
This year the workshop is generously supported by the DFG Priority Program 1324 Extraction of quantifiable Information from Complex Systems
