Dear colleague,
we cordially invite you to attend the 14th Workshop on Discrete
Optimization to be held in Holzhau near the Czech border in the
attractive Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains) in Saxony.
The topics of the Workshop are structures and algorithms in Discrete
Optimization. Talks on open questions and applications of Discrete
Optimization are especially welcome. This workshop will continue the
tradition of biannual workshops on discrete optimization and the
scientific cooperation with eastern European universities.
The workshop facility will be the ``Fischerbaude'' in Holzhau about 30 km south of Freiberg. To get more information about the ``Fischerbaude'' please visit the web site

The participation fee will be approximately DM 400. It includes
registration, accomodation and meals from tuesday noon to friday noon,
coffee breaks, excursion and social event.
The number of participants is restricted to about 45 to guarantee a
real workshop atmosphere.
If you are interested to attend this workshop please preregister
informally before December 15, 1999. Please add your
complete postal as well as e-mail addresses and indicate whether you
would like to give a presentation. A final registration form and a form
for an extended abstract (2 - 4 pages) will be sent to you in January,
2000.
